Inside the Love Island Villa

Love Island is back on our screens this summer. The hit reality TV show that is set on the beautiful island of Majorca. Although hugely entertaining, we feel that the true star of the show is the stunningly elegant and stylish villa. Below we explore inside the villa and how you can recreate this look in your palace.

White and neutral - The Love Island villa is enthused with neutral tones and brilliant white. Walls are painted white with accent colours, while white furnishings prevail with everything appearing clean and elegant. The key to the look is that less means more, as the villa does not want to distract viewers from the beauty of the island! Therefore, to get the villa look,  keep your interior space simple, neutral and minimalist.

Neon accessories - Although the decor and furnishings are a mixture of neutral hues and brilliant white, there are splashes of colour that can be seen in stripes on the walls, on the bedding, and in the living areas. Bright neon colours in particular work very well when contrasted with the white background, with neon cushions displayed on sofas and via wall art.

Modular seating - The main seating areas are modular in design to accommodate groups of people. These sofas offer clean lines, are low to the floor and simplistic in their overall look. This type of seating creates a relaxing and welcoming communal area. The corner sofa is used to create a private seating area for a couple, which makes the best use of the available space.

Open plan kitchen dining - The Love Island villa has very much an open plan dining space, as it opens up onto the veranda. Simple bar stools create a relaxed eating area, while the large white dining table and chairs allow everyone to enjoy their meal together. Use a variety of seating options in your own home, together with a neutral colour scheme that incorporates plants into your kitchen and dining areas. Biophilia (love of nature) comes into play here with the Love Island kitchen area, in particular, bringing the outside in with the clever use of planting and "all the feels" moss.

The outside space - The villa obviously makes the absolute best use of outside space to enjoy the hot weather. Rattan garden furniture sits alongside low-level daybeds that are adorned with colourful cushions. The theme is very much about comfort and relaxing in the sun. Mix and match a variety of outdoor furniture including rattan and daybeds that can be used as separate seats.

Aside from the luxury space for a moment - it's reported that the contestants Instagram following has gone through the roof and what better way to get them to the real deal? The star of a show in their own right!

Scarlett Moffatt... the slightly opinionated, endearing, Geordie girl formerly best known for appearing, alongside mum and dad, in Gogglebox is proof of the pudding. Scarlett's parents were dropped by Gogglebox before the 2017 series. Rumour has it, Scarlett's newfound stardom ended the family's run on the show. Of course it did, what would be the point of the Moffatt's without Scarlett. Since Gogglebox, Scarlett has been crowned Queen of the jungle, became the co-presenter of I'm a celebrity Extra Camp, was popular with viewers on Saturday Night Takeaway and released her DVD "Superslim Me" Go girl and good luck to everybody taking part in this year’s Love Island.

So back to the villa - Here at Funkihomes, we are extremely proud to present contemporary, stylish and ultra cool furniture for your living space that will help you to create that Love Island villa look in your own home.
