The Sissa sheepskin rug is made from genuine Icelandic sheepskin, in black and white colouring that has not been dyed. These rugs are completely natural so each one will be unique and may differ from the picture.  Icelandic sheepskin features long fluffy wool, the wool tends to be curlier than standard sheepskin and very soft. This rug is Eco-friendly and non-allergenic. This sheepskin rug is very versatile, use it as a rug to create a warm feel to a room or use as a throw over a chair, sofa or bed.  Rugs are measured wool side up from the longest and widest points (not the size of the suede backing). All sheepskin rugs only come from British, New Zealand or Iceland because these countries have very strong ethical guidelines on the treatment of animals. Genuine sheepskin is Eco-friendly as it takes much less energy to produce. Sheepskin is a by-product of the meat industry, a material that would otherwise be a waste item.
