When it comes to furniture, Khloe and Kim's taste runs to the minimalist side of things. Both are huge fans of legendary designer Pierre Jeanneret, famous for his simple, top quality designs.

Jeanneret, an architect and designer, moved from his native Switzerland to India in the 1950s, where he sought inspiration from local traditions. Today, some of his exquisite pieces grace the Kardashian sisters' living and dining rooms. Kim and Khloe can't get enough of his classy teak dining chairs and sleek, minimalist sofas, which carry the Jeanneret trademark legs, which are shaped like an upside down V.

The remarkable story of Jeanneret's chairs, now classics worth thousands of dollars, is that they were originally designed for the Indian civil service. Thousands were produced in the 1950s, - but, when the civil services were modernised a couple

of decades down the line, they ended up on the scrap heap...literally. These now-iconic chairs were discarded, often being sold for just a few rupees. Fortunately, great workmanship endures, and many of the Jeanneret chairs survived.

Today, Kourtney Kardashian is the proud owner of 14 Jeanneret dining chairs, made from teak with cane details on the seat and back. These Jeanneret originals, salvaged and lovingly restored, can cost up to a whopping $10,000 apiece - but if you want to keep up with the Kardashians, it's possible to get the Jeanneret look for less. Ok, our Brantley armchair is not a Jeannert piece but a gorgeous piece inspired by Arne Vodder nonetheless.

The colours used in Jeanneret's furniture are timeless neutrals, so his mid-century designs are bang on trend for 2018. If you want to bring a touch of Kardashian glam to your home, look out for simple, elegant pieces.

Pick up some rattan dining chairs or rattan garden furniture to recreate this key part of Kardashian style. You can also look out for a minimalist sofa to complete the set. Jeanneret's sofa designs tend to be built around a square shape, and often don't feature arms. As well as having some of Jeanneret's chairs, Kim is a big fan of his sofas, which she proudly showed off in a recent Instagram story.

So if you fancy transforming your house into an influencer-quality abode, why not pick up some Jeanneret-inspired wooden chairs with rattan detailing? You may not get your own reality show out of it, but you're sure to turn any visitors green with envy!
